[ Action for Goldenrod City ]
[ With (1) Ken Amada awake from his week-long nap, upsetting stories about the future shared, a few hours' worth of sleep invested in, and an altogether crazy weekend past, Miles Edgeworth is finally sinking back in one of the couches in the Goldenrod Hotel's lobby. It had been one long, exhausting week, especially with three crying women (or two crying girls and one crossdresser) to attempt consoling.

[ He rubs his face with his hands, a gesture he picked up from Merlin over the months - and as Pip the Growlithe crawls onto his lap for a quick nap, and a young Eevee (unnamed, because she has absolutely hated every name Miles has tried so far..) walks over, regards her trainer a little haughtily. She nudges him until he folds up the jacket he'd taken off, and it's only then that she settles on the pillow and curls up to sleep, as well. Miles regards her with one raised eyebrow and a mutter under his breath that suspiciously sounds like, "almost just like Franziska."

[ Pulling his Pokégear out of one pocket, he lightly scritches Pip behind the ears as he flips open the gadget, eying the date on the screen. June 24th was still almost a month and a half away... but that doesn't stop him from taking one deep breath and turning on the Pokéconnect.

[ It's been awhile since he's directly addressed the Network, actually, and longer since he's asked the Johto inhabitants a question. He's been getting used to being self sufficient, but for once - this once - it can't be avoided. No amount of von Karma tutelage could help him with this, so he starts typing.

[ And then one message will pop up in the Johtonians' inbox today: ]

[ Blinks, and then gives a small, nervous laugh. ] We'll be careful.

[ The one good plan of the utterly failtastic plan to ~*learn soccer*~ ]

... Do you have any hobbies, Kisa? [ Because Ken has soccer, and Miles has chess. He's curious about Kisa. ]

I don't... really. [ most hobbies are somewhat hard to cultivate when you can't really get close to people. ]

[ Clearly this is where she can start. :|A ]

Then, anything you like..?

Flowers, and... um, Mogeta...

Mogeta... your pokémon? [ He knows she likes her Pokémon, but somehow this doesn't sound like she's talking about her Pikachu. ]

It's... an anime... back home.

An... anime. [ If it worded as "television show" as Ken had said with Featherman, he would know what Kisa was talking about. But alas - how does he pop culture. 8( ]

Like... a show.

[ ... Oh. ]

Is that a Japanese term for a show, then?

Yes... for an animation.

[ So pinged. So pinged. ]

So.. Mogeta is like a superhero.

[ Screw maturity he wants to hear about this. ]

... Yes. And Mogeta's partner, Ari... they fight crime together...

That's-- [ aaaahhhh ] That's really cool! [ He doesn't exactly raise his voice, but it takes a lot to make him use a word like "cool" or to exclamation point in awe.

His very being is asking for deets. ]

[ best response, and one that has Kisa lighting up-- because she actually really likes the show. ]

They always have... a new enemy to fight, and sometimes... they end up separated, but they never give up...

... Mogeta... looks a lot like a Pikachu!

[ He nods very enthusiastically, and his expression is bright as he listens to Kisa. ]

Heroes that don't give up... that's why they can pull through until the end! [ This also is his face when he talks about Gregory. ;; ]

Mm...! It's... really exciting... [ so much enthusiasm. ]
