[ Action for Goldenrod City ]
[ With (1) Ken Amada awake from his week-long nap, upsetting stories about the future shared, a few hours' worth of sleep invested in, and an altogether crazy weekend past, Miles Edgeworth is finally sinking back in one of the couches in the Goldenrod Hotel's lobby. It had been one long, exhausting week, especially with three crying women (or two crying girls and one crossdresser) to attempt consoling.

[ He rubs his face with his hands, a gesture he picked up from Merlin over the months - and as Pip the Growlithe crawls onto his lap for a quick nap, and a young Eevee (unnamed, because she has absolutely hated every name Miles has tried so far..) walks over, regards her trainer a little haughtily. She nudges him until he folds up the jacket he'd taken off, and it's only then that she settles on the pillow and curls up to sleep, as well. Miles regards her with one raised eyebrow and a mutter under his breath that suspiciously sounds like, "almost just like Franziska."

[ Pulling his Pokégear out of one pocket, he lightly scritches Pip behind the ears as he flips open the gadget, eying the date on the screen. June 24th was still almost a month and a half away... but that doesn't stop him from taking one deep breath and turning on the Pokéconnect.

[ It's been awhile since he's directly addressed the Network, actually, and longer since he's asked the Johto inhabitants a question. He's been getting used to being self sufficient, but for once - this once - it can't be avoided. No amount of von Karma tutelage could help him with this, so he starts typing.

[ And then one message will pop up in the Johtonians' inbox today: ]

I'm fine! We girls from Gran Pulse are tougher than we look! [SHE'S NOT JUST SUNSHINE AND RAINBOWS] Besides, the only way a person can get stronger is to get a little bit hurt. Then next time it isn't so bad.

She gives an evil sounding laugh(as evil as she could anyway) that sounds a lot like she's just saying muah ha ha over and over] I am the Keeper of the ball and you shall never take it! [And she runs off kicking the ball. :|]

[ He.. really has never met anyone so enthusiastic before--

He goes after her BUT FFF HIS LEGS. THEY'RE SHORT. He's a little slow compared to her. ;; ]

[:'D Oops. She slows down-she probably should learn to calm down a bit even though Miles is TOO adorable that it makes it hard to be not derp. :C] You'll never catch me~ [Except that she's running pretty slowly now so he definitely, probably will.]

He's a little >:c that she's going easy on him, but he's glad he can catch up! ]

[Don't worry, she'll speed up a bit once he catches up.] Oh no! You have foiled my perfect plan! [...She's really getting into character. :'D] Please you can't take my beloved ball from me! [D':]

I guess you'll just have to get it from me~ [Not that she would legit play keep away with a little kid. She's isn't FANG. Modified keep awayyy]

! Eek! You'll catch me! [Oh nooo~ She'll have to jog slightly quicker! D:] You'll take my treasure! [THEY'RE ALWAYS AFTER HER LUCKY CHARMS. She isn't running very fast though and she's kind of just...kicking the ball badly between her feet. XD;]

[ He catches up rather quickly--- kick. He'll be taking his ball back! D8 ]

Oh noooo! [How will she ever get it back? ;3; She'll try(very lazily) but this is about Miles practicing, not her. U__U] You are tooo powerful sir Miles you have slain me!

[Vanille you're not the King of the Balls or something....Ha haha]

[ ... He stops, turns. ] Miss Vanille, this is soccer, not... pretend.

It isn't? But don't you think it's fun to pretend to be a monster or a knight while you're playing? If you think your opponents are all evil ball capturing monsters wouldn't you want to get the ball back even more?

[What the heck, Miles. Who doesn't like to play Monster and Knight? : |]

I'm not really into that kind of thing.. [ HE WOULDN'T READ FAIRY TALES. THIS IS CANON. ]

[GOD DAMN, MILES.] Well okay! Let's just play then! [She is still thinking of herself as the guardian of the soccer ball. :| she just won't say it aloud. And she's going to get back her treasu-the ball!]

Alright... [ WELL. YOU KNOW VANILLE. You kind of left your goal wide open. :Db ]

[Nooo] My um...place where the ball goes in to score a goal! [;a; She's looosing!! She boots it back to the goal even though it's too late in all likelihood. :[ ]

It's called a-- [ KICK. ] -- goal.

Ah! [SHE'S TOO LAAAATE. Her goaaaaaaaaaaaal.] Darn! You're too good at this, Miles, I'll never win! [She puts on a fake pout but it leaves a second later] Guess that means I'll just have to cheer you on, huh?

[ He dribbles the ball back over to her, grinning back. ] Thanks, Miss Vanille. [ But. ]

Do you have to go to work?

...Oh no! I was having so much fun I forgot! [...oops. She brushes off her clothes-good thing she hadn't changed into her work uniform yet-and grabs Miles for a quick hug] Tell me when you're playing and I'll come see, okay?

[ fhlsdkhdskfjh WHY HUG. H-he nods. ] I will. Um, I'll walk you there.
