[The feed turns on and -- hey Edgeworth, why the tired face?]

Er-- good evening, everyone. Pess kept insisting that I make this post and tell everyone that her egg hatched.

[And with that, he pans the camera to show --- the tiniest Growlithe baby in the world, chewing contentedly on Edgeworth's ribbon.]


 

His name is Pip.

And umm.. the holidays are coming up. I personally don't feel so excited about it, but I wanted to ask: what are you planning to get your Pokémon for Christmas?

[ Oh, Kristoph was almost expecting some resistance from Edgeworth as the boy had completely clammed up when he had asked for one of the eggs for himself. Apparently dealing with the puppy under his surveillance was fine... or maybe the cute baby Growlithe had made Edgeworth lower his defences. After all he was still just a child. ]

That would be a pleasure. In that case I'll be heading over soon.

[Edgeworth's defenses are definitely a bit on the low. He hasn't completely forgotten about Apollo's caution, but-- really. He was in too much of a good mood about this puppy, and Pess would protect her pup.

Besides, it would be too risky for Mr. Gavin to do anything.]

[ Oh, Kristoph wouldn't hurt the puppy. There's nothing for him to gain from it and he actually likes dogs. ]

[ So assuming that Edgeworth is in his room Kristoph will be eventually knocking on the door. ]

[At the knock, Edgeworth sets Pip down on the bed and goes to open the door, greeting Kristoph with a smile - oh, yes, he's in a good mood.]

[ Kristoph naturally responds with a smile. ]

Good evening, Miles. I hope that I'm not bothering you.

It's no problem, sir. [He steps out of the way to let Kristoph in. He was rooming with Phoenix, but it seems the man was out in town, leaving Miles alone with his Pokémon, who were sitting on the bed with the baby Growlithe.]

[ Kristoph steps in, having a quick look around the room. It was pleasing for him to see that the room nothing compared to the place he was residing in. ]

[ He looks at the bed, smiling at the small puppy on it. ]

Pip, wasn't it?

[Hearing the now familiar-sounding name, the puppy in questions raises his head and gives a small "Yip!" in reply as Edgeworth, for once acting like someone his age should, nods his affirmative.]

[ Kristoph laughs softly at the puppy answering, walking closer to the bed and offering his hand for the dog to smell. ]

Nice to meet you, Pip.

[action] A-aww well, you'll be seeing a lot of it, dear, good luck! *A*

[Oh, it's a new person! Pip curiously leans closer to Kristoph's hand and sniffs it, and then--

'choo!

He sneezes and topples over backwards!]

[action] Hopefully the teacher will think that I just find this photoshop class very very cute

[ Kristoph's hand twitches, but he resists the urge to jerk it away from the puppy. Instead he just smiles and helps puppy back up with his hand. ]

Is everything alright, little one?

[action] I'm sure your class is adorable. xD

Yip! [Pip looks completely unfazed, as he puts his tiny paws on Kristoph's hand and resumes sniffing.

Sitting just off to the side, Pess is watching with a rather amused face]

[action] Sure, Photoshop CS5 is just SO cute.

[ Kristoph chuckles, gently petting Pip's head with his other hand. ] Not one bit surprised, I see. Good boy.

[ Then, as if suddenly remembering something, he looks at Edgeworth. ] Ah, yes. I bought you something to celebrate the occasion. Though I will leave it up to you to decide whether to use it yourself or give to the little charmer here. [ Kristoph takes a small package from his pocket and hands it to Edgeworth. ]

[ Inside of the package there is a high quality ribbon of a certain shade of dark magenta. ]

[action] Puts puppies to shame, doesn't it? /sage nod

[For a moment, Edgeworth blinks. That color was... really pretty. And really familiar looking. He soon smiles, though and takes the package.]

Thank you, Mr. Gavin. Here, Pip, look! Mr. Gavin brought a present for you.. Make sure you don't eat it, all right?

[He then proceeds to tie the ribbon around Pip, who stares at the gift with great curiosity, bats at it, and then barks when the fabric slips away from his paw.]

[action] Though thinking about it I'd rather have a class about cute puppies.. /wrong career choice?

You're welcome. Seeing how much he literally enjoyed your ribbon I though this be a good choice for a present.

[ Kristoph looks at the now at least 500% more fabulous puppy and nods in approval. ]

It suits him quite well.

[action] I think we all would, regardless of our career choice..

I think it looks great on him. Thank you, Mr. Gavin.. [He smiles, and Pip bats at the ribbon one more time before looking up at Kristoph and giving a cheerful "Yip!" ]

[ Kristoph smiles, gently and carefully petting Pip's head with his hand. ]

I'm fond of dogs so it's a simply pleasure for me to see a young dog as charming as Pip. He reminds me of Vongole when she was small.

[ After one last stroke of soft fur Kristoph retreats his hand and looks away. ]

[ ARE YOU FEELING BAD FOR NOT GIVING HIM A PUPPY YET? ]

She's the dog you own back home, isn't she? [Edgeworth... does feel a bit bad about telling Kristoph "no". As far as he knew, Kristoph was a kind, good person... ]

Yes, she's a golden retriever. A fine example of her breed and my "best friend", as the saying goes.

[ Kristoph thought about it for a moment. He didn't particularly miss his dog nor did he have any sort of desire to have Vongole here with him. It would probably be troublesome rather than helpful. ]

...Yes. I've grown fond of her during the number years I've had her, so it's only natural from my part to miss her and worry about her well-being.

[ The latter part would actually be true, Kristoph hated not being able to know if others were taking good enough care of his property. ]

Edgeworth nods, silent but his eyes locked on Kristoph's.]

[ Kristoph looks straight back at the boy's eyes. After a moment he removes his hand and looks at the door. ]

Now then, I think I should be on my way. I have some matters to attend to and I wouldn't want to overwhelm little Pip with too many new things at once.
