OH. Oh, those. They're...elemental stones. They can make certain Pokemon evolve. There's the fire stone, leaf stone, water stone, thunder stone...and I think there's one more, but I don't remember it's name.
Something to do with the moon.
...I think Growlithes evolve using one, actually.
