The wind is really picking up today.

[The first post in quite a while. Between his part-time job and the increasing number of Pokemon in his small travel group, he'd forgotten about posting with the gear for a few weeks. Even today, he'd only been viewing the network before his attention turned to the growing snowstorm outside and a curiosity struck him.]

It never snowed in the city where I grew up. [~~sans game 2 case 3 and Hazakura Temple~~] Winter doesn't get this cold in southern California.

Sure doesn't. Even after spending a night at Hazakura Temple and dealing with winter here last year, I'm still not used to it.

I've been fine, staying inside to avoid catching a cold like I did last year. What about you?

Yeah. Cold as heck, but very pretty. Perfect inspiration spot. Nick hated it there 'cause it was so cold. [Well, he has more reasons to hate it too but that was the first one.]

I have been earning badges and scoring dates. The usual escapades of the Butz. Glad to hear you're good though. I was starting to wonder.

That's true. He doesn't like cold weather much.

If anything happened to me, I'm sure the mice would have announced it.

I doubt he would make an announcement about anything unless I was dying and he absolutely needed help about it.

We're capable of taking care of ourselves, and Clover is with us, too.

Yes, we're still here. Though we might head over to Saffron on the twenty-third.

Never said you weren't. Just don't forget you have friends who worry sometimes. [Yes Larry, speak for everyone. And...he has no idea Clover's actually an adult. Yep.]

Goldenrod is good. I'd hate to see what it's like in Cianwood now--the waves must be terrible.

Yeeeah. Glad I'm not there.

[A pause as he looks outside at the storm again.] I'm not sure which I prefer--the spontaneousness of Johto's weather, or Los Angeles' constant heat.

I'd take the heat any day. At least L.A. doesn't get a Storm of the Century in rain or snow form every couple months.

Quiet in the weather sense at least, heh.

That's what I meant. With you around, nothing else was ever quiet.

And it's still not quiet now.
