006 [video/text]
[The feed opens to show a very hyper, very happy Growlithe grinning at the camera, and then she looks up and spins in a circle, trotting off-screen before the camera turns and shows Miles Edgeworth with a Poliwag jumping up and down next to him. Pess and Tadpole are back in action, guys! Littleworth, although he wasn't grinning like a retard or dogpiling with his Pokémon like some others, is almost radiating happiness and relief and--
-- what is that sad, lost smile on his face?
He's definitely trying to shrug off whatever's eating him, though, and he picks up Pess, showing her off to the camera.]
She and Tadpole are back to normal, everyone-- I hope your Pokémon are, too.
[There's a small pause as he gives the camera a contemplative frown, as if he's debating something, and then--]
Miss Hawthorne, you're probably still confused by everything, but things are back to 'normal' now, at least for now. Please be careful on your journey, though. [He's genuinely concerned about Dahlia, really, but he's not sure how to approach anyone in this world anymore.
Pess squirms around and jumps out of Edgeworth's hold, onto his lap. But the boy barely acknowledges her as he still stares at his Gear, a frown on his face.
A few, long seconds of silence later, he reaches over. And the feed cuts off.]

Larry, there's something I need to talk to you about.
Er-- S-sorry. Did I startle you?
[--and Butch is quickly usurped by Lady, who "Furr"'s at the camera from over Phoenix's shoulder.]
[The shocked stare quickly turns to a rather childish glare, similar to Maya's "Why won't you guy me a burger" one, with his cheek puffed out and the glare lacking that edge it gains when the boy grows older.]
Where did you run off to, Wright.
[Pess pushes her head into the screen, whining apologetically at Butch and Lady for her trainer's attitude.]
I, er -- I went out onto Route 32. Just for a breather. I'm on my way back now. Mia's not the fastest walker in the world, though, so it's taking a while...
Just--
[A pause.]
Just get back safely, Wright, and be careful. [The look in his eyes makes it obvious who he's thinking about -- he's heard Larry's story, and between Phoenix, Dahlia, and Larry, Larry was least likely to lie about that situation.]
Don't worry. I can see the city now. [And guess who's totally oblivious to the fact that Miles kind of knows about his situation now?]
-- good. Hurry up, Wright. [Because I need to apologize to you.
And the screen suddenly shakes, the background a bit blurred, indicating that Edgeworth had gotten up and started walking somewhere.]
A-alright, alright. I'm almost there. Geez... [It's just his usual, good-natured grumbling. Maybe he's trying extra hard to keep things normal around Edgeworth? Who knows?]
And when Phoenix arrives at the Route 31 entrance of Violet, he'll find Edgeworth sitting there, waiting. It's still rather chilly out, so the kid's got his huge jacket wrapped around his body. Pess and Tadpole are running around him, having some sort of mock battle.]
And, well, upon arriving in the city, complete with a fat Mareep waddling next to him and his two other walking-capable Pokemon frolicking behind him, Phoenix...has a feeling he knew where Edgeworth wandered off to, and looks around for the kid with a ":T" expression. He shouldn't be outside when it's so cold!
Upon spotting the kid, he slowly makes his way over to him (slowly because, again, his fat sheep.), hands in his pockets and...a bit of an awkward air about him. They hadn't exactly parted on the best terms the other day, after all.]
...hey, Edgeworth. You really shouldn't be wandering around by yourself.
[action!]
Upon Phoenix arriving, he looks up and gives a wave.]
I haven't wandered off too far. And I knew you would be coming back soon, anyway.
[action!]
Still. [Hyprocritial of you, huh, Phoenix, after wandering out onto Route 32 without a word?]
...so, er...how are things? [Awkward neck rub is go.] Nothing too exciting happen while I was gone?
[action!]
[A pause.]
I talked to Larry.
[action!]
Only to have it replaced by a bit of a forlorn one, glancing away and shoving his hands deeper into his pockets.] Larry, huh.
...what'd he tell you?
[action!]
[Edgeworth falters at Phoenix's expression. It reminded him so much of that time when Phoenix was accused of stealing the lunch money. Seeing such a sad look on his friend's face, Edgeworth was convinced that Dahlia really was lying. Phoenix wouldn't - couldn't - hurt anyone. Ever.]
He told me I could trust you.
