006 [video/text]
[The feed opens to show a very hyper, very happy Growlithe grinning at the camera, and then she looks up and spins in a circle, trotting off-screen before the camera turns and shows Miles Edgeworth with a Poliwag jumping up and down next to him. Pess and Tadpole are back in action, guys! Littleworth, although he wasn't grinning like a retard or dogpiling with his Pokémon like some others, is almost radiating happiness and relief and--
-- what is that sad, lost smile on his face?
He's definitely trying to shrug off whatever's eating him, though, and he picks up Pess, showing her off to the camera.]
She and Tadpole are back to normal, everyone-- I hope your Pokémon are, too.
[There's a small pause as he gives the camera a contemplative frown, as if he's debating something, and then--]
Miss Hawthorne, you're probably still confused by everything, but things are back to 'normal' now, at least for now. Please be careful on your journey, though. [He's genuinely concerned about Dahlia, really, but he's not sure how to approach anyone in this world anymore.
Pess squirms around and jumps out of Edgeworth's hold, onto his lap. But the boy barely acknowledges her as he still stares at his Gear, a frown on his face.
A few, long seconds of silence later, he reaches over. And the feed cuts off.]

Larry, there's something I need to talk to you about.
No... I'm fine. A little sore from running but...
I just....
I abandoned you... I... That's just...
[video --> action!]
[Mr. Misaki cried really easily. Edgeworth didn't really know what he could say for him through the video...
-- there's suddenly the sound of someone moving around, muttering under his breath, and before there is enough time for anyone to figure out what's going on, Edgeworth mutters a "Hold on a while", and the feed suddenly cuts off.
And there's a few minutes of silence before...]
Knock! Knock!
[Someone's at your door, Misaki! After the knocks, the muffled sounds of someone, a child from the sound of his voice, talking, as well as a dog barking, could be heard from outside the room.]
[action!]
He's gonna cry in his room for a while. A long while, actually, because it's really just too hard for him to stop unless he miraculously falls asleep. But there's a knock at the door, right in the middle of his sobbing. He rubs his red eyes and picks himself heavily off the bed.]
Coming... [Misaki puts his hand on the doorknob, then realizes he recognizes that voice. But, did he really--! He opens the door, surprised.] M-miles-kun...?
[action!] 1/2
But he still looks at Misaki with a steady gaze, chewing on the inside of his cheek as he crosses his arms and tilts his head.]
....I knew you'd be crying.
[action!] 2/2
You came to the Center for my sake earlier... so I thought that I should be the one to run across town for you this time.
Please don't cry, Mr. Misaki.
[action!]
I-I-I didn't know you were...coming, or I'd have... pick up the room more.
I'm s-sorry! I w-want to st-top but I c-can't when I get like th-this.
[action!]
I thought you'd stop me if I said I wanted to come see you.
[Edgeworth reaches into his pocket and produces a handkerchief, reaches up and pressing it into Misaki's palm, but instead of letting go, he grips that hand and helps Misaki back over to the bed, sitting him down. He finally lets go so Misaki can wipe his tears, and then sits down besides him!]
We were all frightened by what happened this weekend, Mr. Misaki. I don't blame you, nor am I angry.
I was just worried about you.
[action!]
Th-th-thank...
I'm... I'm still sorry. I shouldn't have run out, but... I'm really bad with situations like that.
[action!]
Of course, you really shouldn't have run out like that. It could have been a trap, and you could have been hurt. [Huff!]
[action!]
I'm just no good when things looks that scary. I think I kind of went crazy back there for a minute.
[action!]
So he just leans over, resting his head against Misaki's arm and holding the hem of Misaki's shirt.]
After all that happened, it's not your fault you were scared, Mr. Misaki.
[action!]
Thanks, Miles-kun... B-by the way, you can drop the 'Mister' and just call me 'Misaki' if you want.
[action!]
Misaki, then.
[He was just getting used to calling him "Mr. Misaki", the sudden name change throws him off a bit... but he shrugs it off and just peers up at Misaki from where he's seated.]
[action!]
I'll get this washed for you and then give it back later.
[action!]
So he just nods, and smiles.]
All right, thank you, Misaki-- oh!
[And then Edgeworth rummages through that grocery bag he brought. After handing Pess the biscuit she'd begged for, Edgeworth produces a mini-carton of ice cream. Strawberry ice cream. He holds it out to Misaki.]
A friend at school once told me that ice cream cheers people up.
[action!]
Thanks, Miles-kun. Let's eat it together, then.
[action!]
With a smile, Edgeworth nods at Misaki's suggestion!]
[action!]
Sure, you can join us too, Pess-san!
[action!]
And Edgeworth is glad that Misaki seems happier. He didn't want anyone feeling down because of him, after all.]
