[ The video is shaky, as whichever Pokémon recording trudges through the sand of the beach. The weather in Cianwood is beautiful today--blue sky, blue ocean, white sand and a slight breeze! You can see an orange pool float bobbing up and down on the waves, with a family of electric mice soaking up the sun.

And there's Miles, sitting on the sand.

He's clearly got no agenda to get in the water with the short sleeved shirt he's wearing, or the book lying open on his lap, but he's enjoying summer in his own way. Jason the Cubone is sitting right next to him, diligently building a sand castle. He needs help often, though, so Miles isn't getting much reading done because he keeps having to hold the bucket for his Pokémon or dig a moat with him...

and the camera-mon finally reaches the pair, setting the gear down on an upturned bucket before a Charmander waddles into the screen, plopping herself down on one of her trainer's knees. Miles rubs her head and turns to the camera, picking it up. He's grown used to it recording without him intending to.. :|a

He's in a pretty good mood today. ]

Ken and I've arrived in Cianwood. I could have done without the ferry ride, but this town is quite beautiful. I've never really been to a beach before, either...

I was told on the way here that there's a place called a Safari Zone nearby--what is it, exactly, does anybody know?

The beach's there is great!

The Safari Zone is a place where you can watch and capture Pokemon you don't normally find anywhere else.

Yep. I caught Agena and Vidofnir there when I figured out how to work with the rules.

It's no trouble at all.

In the Safari Zone, you can't use your own Pokemon inside. You have to use the Safari Ball, bait, mud and your own judgement to capture the Pokemon you want within the time limit.

Looks like you're all having fun.

I think Ted mentioned a Safari Zone once. That was where he caught the Spearow - um, Fearow - he sent me.

Well, it's good to see you acting like a real kid for a change. Close enough.

[SHE MEANS WELL, REALLY.]

There's a lot of them around and it distracts the Pokemon enough. Or make them more likely to run off.

[And flop goes down Ken. Who has salt water all in his hair and a Minun clinging to his head like she was going to get swept into the waves. Ken knows how to beach. He has the swim trunks and the flippy floppies.

And he is now covered in sand.]

You're supposed to go in the water when you come to the beach.

[STRANGE ISN'T IT the last time Miles saw Ken dripping wet with salt water he was sobbing 8( But now he is grinning quite happily.]

You act way older than I am a lot. Being a killjoy doesn't suit you, you know.

You have to come in the water at least. You don't have to swim. [Ken has been bowled over by at least like six waves.]

[Nemesis will waddle over and help out. And by help out I mean screw things up.]

You're going to get really wet...

It's not enough! Sure, you're on the beach and all but you're hangin' out all high and dry!
