[ The feed sputters on to one Miles Edgeworth giving the network the most confused face. ]

I woke up this morning and went outside for a walk... did the hotel in Olivine always have this wriggling piece of plywood outside its doors?

[ He pans the camera around to show a ragged-looking mascot dancing pitifully, on and on. ]

[L is definitely human, so no, nothing too bad. A human in poor health, at worst, like he's a few nights behind on sleep or a few meals behind on a healthy diet.]

How long have you been here?

[L tends to cut directly to the chase. After names, he always asks this particular question.]

[L might, but he's really more interested in solving the puzzle than actually taking a stand and battling in a courtroom for the prevalence of a client's unique and petty definition of justice.]

How different is Johto from the manner of world you came from?

[L is a sponge for facts.]

You seem to prioritize the court system in your description. Did you work closely with it?

Defense, or prosecution? I suppose that your choice says a lot about you as a person, whichever it is...

What happened to your father? I must confess that my curiosity is piqued.

Recently? I'm sorry to hear.

How recently?

I have heard that a year is the unofficial time period for most grieving to begin and end.

Are you nearly finished grieving, then?

[He asks like someone who has never had someone close to him die... and the nerve to ask someone who has.]

Great, then.

How did your father die?

[He seems to take it as a go-ahead to ask more in-depth questions.]

Are you offended? I apologize. I meant nothing by it. You said that you were finished mourning and grieving, and I suppose I assumed...

The killer's motivation? Was it ever established?

And that's why you're becoming a prosecuting attorney.

What's the rest of it? It seems like a strong motivation, to me. The death of a family member, the pursuit of justice, the choice to prosecute rather than defend... you don't want to see the guilty get away from the punishment they rightfully deserve.
