People always disappeared in December. The robotic monotone of the operator ( "This number has been disconnected." ) still rang in his ears, and he.. dreaded answering calls anymore. Dreaded speaking to people he might lose anyway. He'd been able to act positive - even believe his own words - for the first few people he'd spoken to... but now that the fact that Detective Gumshoe had disappeared finally sank in....
He almost ignored the Judge's message. Almost. After staring at the replaying message from the old man for three long minutes, he finally clicks the "Connect" button.]
