[The feed turns on this fine Tuesday afternoon from a Gear that hasn't posted in quite a while. The camera adjusts, focuses, and then shows a disgruntled looking child sitting - legs crossed, leaning back in the chair, with a serious line face - at a table in what looks like the café at the Goldenrod Hotel. A newspaper held in one hand, the other holding....

.....a cup of tea. That he drinks out of.

Good afternoon, residents of Johto, Miles Edgeworth has woken up and he snuck out of the Pokémon Center last night, too, but that's another story.]

Plus!

[The sudden voice is accompanied by the invasion of Remus the Plusle, who hops onto his trainer's lap and takes the cup of tea from him, sitting down and cheerily gulping down the warm drink. His moody expression brightening slightly into that of amusement, Miles gives a soft chuckle and lowers the paper, turning his full attention to the Gear that Remus must have turned on earlier.

First, he sighs. And then he glares at the camera.]
Franziska von Karma.
[Oh boy, is he pissed.]

Upon my waking up just last night, I was informed of your ill-mannered conduct upon your arrival in Johto. You acted rudely and immaturely, and - surely - as one who aspires to succeed that perfect Manfred von Karma, being able to civilly interact with those you meet would be an important skill?

First of all, I have done nothing to be called a coward by you.

Secondly, yelling my name into the network was an over-the-top, yet sufficient way of getting in contact with me. However, I was indeed asleep for the last few days, and refusing to believe the tale when told so was foolish of you. Proceeding then to snap at these people and antagonizing them is even worse.

[A pause, as he takes a breath and rubs his temple.]

As your older brother, and the reason why you ended up acting so disrespectfully to those who simply wanted to help you, I suggest that you rethink your actions carefully and apologize to them soon. Your father stressed the importance of perfection in every aspect of life - and if you are still aspring to fulfill that perfection, it would do you good to start by acting, at least, like you know how to speak without angering every face you see.

[Another pause, and then he looks away from the camera looking a bit squicked out.]

... I don't think I'll ever perfect imitating Mr. von Karma's way of talking.

[He reaches over to drink the tea, but the cup must have been emptied by Remus. He stops, sighs, and sends the camera another look.]

I'll be waiting for your call, Fran. That is all.

... I hope you're doing all right.

Lastly, I would like to remind you that you have conveniently skipped over the matter of your shorts, which have not become more tasteful since the last time I mentioned them.

Miles Edgeworth, what do you have to say for yourself?
From: [identity profile] recrimination.livejournal.com
[asfklsa;fkwesk SHE RECOILS!]

I did no such thing! To even insinuate that I would hide behind someone like you for a horse--!

[Compose yourself, Franziska, compose yourself. D8 She coughs and crosses her arms resolutely.]

You will retract that ridiculous statement at once if you know what is good for you, Miles Edgeworth. And in the future, you will cease and desist making assumptions and merely ask for clarification for your misconceptions, such as the one with my riding crop for example, without the extraneous details.

Is that not, and I quote, a way for you to 'search for the truth with your own power'?

[WHIP CRACK] Ha! How does it feel, to be defeated by your own words?

Also, you state that there is very rarely solid evidence for the mysterious on-goings that occurs in this world. I will admit that there are, indeed, many inexplicable happenings that will require proper investigation in the future. However! Your usage of the word 'rarely' implies that there is still some evidence, and if there is, I will naturally demand to see it! For those who wish to make claims at me, they must show me that evidence for their claims to even be the least bit reputable.

And while I refuse to compromise, I am most reasonable. My proof -- a young man cited proof of a witness who detailed to him about how one will be returned to the same time they left once they return to their original world -- and I accepted that as proper evidence! Surely it is not the most formal of takes, but as you can see, since I am reasonable, I will not need compromise to go far!

And while it is true that you are unable to change your acquaintances as of now, seeing as you have already made them, but I will expect proper efforts in the future to gravitate towards those who are more suited to being the acquaintances of my sworn rival.

However, you may retract your statement of aid. I do not need it.

[and akslfjw;skfljawels CROP BEND]

However, your refusal to see my riding crop as what it is is beyond infuriating! Miles Edgeworth, you will recant your statement and apologize as soon as I arrive in Goldenrod to set it straight!

On the other hand, your argument that riding crops are for hitting horses bolsters mine. For while it is true that riding crops and horses go hand-in-hand, it would follow that if the ignorants act as idiotic as horses, then I have full rights to give them their due punishments.

Lastly, I believe that you are avoiding the point about your attire because you are embarrassed by it, of which I am not entirely surprised. Rest assured, I will find you a suitable replacement upon my arrival.

That is all.
