miniworth [The screen flickers on to show a sunny blue sky framed by the branches of trees. On occasion a bird or two or a flock of them fly past, but there is no sign of the boy who owns the Pokégear. In the corner of the screen, something orange flits in and out of view before there is the sound of panting and bounding feet, followed by--]
Ugh. [--the sound of someone groaning, as if something heavy had been dropped on his stomach. The screen turns blurry, as if the Pokégear was being shaken around. The sound of struggling and excited barks could be heard.] Stop, you silly dog, stop, you can't use this-- this contraption as a toy! .....No, you can't chew on my bowtie either but-- ugh, fine you can lick my face. [There is a soft sigh as the screen stops moving. It moves again as the happy-looking face of a young Growlithe comes into view, then, finally the camera swerves again to show the slightly disgruntled, slobber-covered face of a young boy lying on the grass. So that's where he was!]
.....My name is Miles Edgeworth. [The boy seems absolutely squicked out - apparently he's never talked to electronics before. The Growlithe, on the other hand, looks nothing less than deliriously happy as it sits by the boy's head and smiles up at the camera.] I woke up... this morning and found myself in a house that wasn't mine, with a woman that wasn't my mother -- and then I got kicked out. I'm not sure how this happened, or what will happen from now on, but... [Miles averts his eyes momentarily, then turns his head as if staring at the sky and the trees, glancing at the Growlithe before turning back to the camera.] I think the best choice I could make now is to keep moving along down the road. Perhaps I'll meet someone who can give me some hints on.. what's going on. -- ugh. Stop that! [There is a beep, as if Miles had pressed a button, and the screen goes blank, but not before it catches the Growlithe finding a small butterfly on Miles' shirt and pouncing at it.]
