[ Johto's weather is simply atrociously bipolar. Very, terribly bipolar.
Which is probably why today is forty degrees (Fahrenheit) hotter than it was yesterday and Miles Edgeworth is not wearing his usual shirt-and-jacket attire. No. He's rather comfortable in this weather wearing a short-sleeved shirt and sitting outside on the Goldenrod street without a hat, just lazying on the bench.
It's really nice that those bugs are gone - he faired better than some, but a certain Growlithe had thrown one of those Pinecos in his face, and that darn bug had detonated, so Miles has a bandaid on his forehead as well a gauze against his burned cheek. Gdmit Pip. 8|
But Pip doesn't really care about that because hey, Miles is alive and he was well enough to drag Pip back to the Pokémon center after that WHY SHOULD HE BE WORRIED. So he's frolicking about, chasing his own tail and... looking pretty refreshed. Because spring has come, and Miles had taken Pip and Pess to get a trimming. Pip's got short hair now, and he's pretty darn happy about this. Fuck yeaaahhhhhh.
But his mom? Oh. Oh. Oh Pess isn't very happy about this. She was so proud of her fur, Miles, sure it was really warm but SHE WAS SO PROUD. And the trimming is fine, she's sure she'll grow to like it... but still. So she's sulking, a very, very sulky Arcanine lying next to the bench Miles is sitting on, sending him sulky glares every now and then.
In the meanwhile, as Miles fiddles with his Gear and keeps turning on and off the text option, Remus the Plusle, Nanako's old Squirtle, Jason the Cubone and Cara the Charmander are enjoying ice cream.
It's... really nice that there are no exploding bugs anymore. But there are some important, serious things Miles has been thinking about since those Pokémon started causing trouble. A certain pair of videos had caught his attention, and though Miles didn't particularly respond to one, Miles Edgeworth can't leave certain things alone.
Certain things.. like criminals that get away with their crimes. With a sigh, he opens up his Gear and types in a few words. ]
The man who claimed to have escaped from prison and set the Pokémon loose on the cities - who is he?

Date: 2011-04-15 05:26 am (UTC)...Another criminal has gone free, here in Johto?[If texts could have tones of voices? This one would have a very deadpan one. Machi knew that criminals and the law was useless here. And even if there was an alert, it may be for innocent people.
That was one of the few things that Machi still hated. And he wouldn't stop hating it.]

Date: 2011-04-15 05:31 am (UTC)I've only heard of one who escaped. The other was never caught.[ And his wouldn't be much of a deadpan - perhaps just a serious tone, flat, only because he's stating an observation.
Miles is also very skeptical of law enforcement in Johto. If he had any faith, he's sure, he wouldn't be sending this message out to the others. He'd have left it to the police. ]

Date: 2011-04-15 05:35 am (UTC)I have seen two, who have escaped from imprisonment before. But one of them has disappeared from Johto, the last time I checked.[He's talking about both The Joker (who he didn't like after what happened to Lammy)... and, of course, our main man, Tarantulus.
Not like he knows that he's talking about the criminal who did this.

There was Tarantulas, there was Dahlia, but there was also Kaitou Kid and Kay who claimed themselves to be thieves, but he didn't worry himself with the latter two. They wouldn't harm people. ]
