010 [video] Fourth wall event!
Nov. 27th, 2010 12:14 am---Gotcha.
[So what's Edgeworth up to today? Well... he was catching Butch and Tadpole, who thought it would be a wonderful way to exercise if they stole Edgeworth's Pokégear and run all over Violet. And that's how they spent the day today! Pess, being a good girl, is off visiting Phoenix at the Pokémon Center.
And Edgeworth had just caught up to the two Pokémon. But wait. This isn't Violet anymore. The moment the Gear stops shaking like crazy, the camera manages to focus on..... the inside of an elevator?
Unfortunately, Edgeworth doesn't notice until the doors close behind him.]
......Huh?
....W-where am I...?
[Panic settling in three, two, one.....]
Oh god... [And the feed cuts off as Edgeworth drops his gear, suddenly feeling sick to his stomach.]
[[ooc; FFFFF I hate writer's block, especially those that hit at the best moments. =u= ;; But anyway, a shorter, less depressfail version of Edgeworth's fourth wall event, that I definitely like better. Action posts to people in the department store, on the fourth floor, which is where Edgeworth will THROW HIMSELF OUT OF THE ELEVATOR BECAUSE OH GOD TRAUMA, and video/audio/text responses will come about an hour later, once the kid calms down and feels better! c: Responses will be slow-- I'll probably be busy both Saturday and Sunday until the evening. =w= ;;

cheapblusuits! I think Phoenix is in possession of Pess and her egg for this weekend, as well. ]]

By what, about a decade? XDDD
Date: 2010-12-30 09:36 am (UTC)Very well. Every piece of evidence must be examined, and every witness must be given the opportunity to testify. [OH MAN that's like dropping a bombshell on him. Another one.
Yup, that's where I found 'em. Eeeeeeee icons. Speaking of icons...yup, still very slowly filling up my space and cherishing it while I have it~]
... o___+ Eight, I think. xD
Date: 2010-12-30 09:51 am (UTC)....I know that.
That's what Father said all the time. [And one thing that Bigworth might remember, if he paid closed attention to his younger self's speech, was the use of the word "father." He used to say "dad" before...
Tinyworth, despite knowing the truth, would never forgive himself for not being able to save Gregory. From the attacking Yanni Yogi or from the bullet that killed his father. If only he'd been conscious then...
Until he can forgive himself, or feel like he deserved to name himself truly Gregory Edgeworth's son, he might never get over the reluctance to refer to Gregory as "dad"... /headcanon woop!]
[IT WILL BE GLORIOUS. I mean. He'll make a post all confused like. "....Say somebody wronged you, and you promised yourself and everyone that you'll see to it that justice is served. What if... you find out that the consequences of that is putting another person in the exact same position as you?" =u=b ;; ]
[Icon space is so nice to have! ;A; ]
Close to a decade...and closer to the Bratworth years.
Date: 2010-12-31 06:39 am (UTC)Yes...they were constant reminders. [He's glad to hear that you haven't forgotten them.]
[Actually, yes. Bigworth has always called Greg "Father" himself. LOL YES HEADCANON IS THE ANSWER TO EVERYTHING - almost. Although according to mine, Miles has always preferred calling him "Father". He used to call him "Dad" when he was younger, but then kinda shifted to "Father" with a few slips back into "Dad" territory.
But awwwww Tinyworth. I still say he deserves a hug /logic fail
I'm still ramping up my icon count but it's hard for me since I tend to stay away from NSFW posts. Instead, I should go see what my fellow Edgeworths have got in their icon space~]
Well, the icon is of Bratworth and Bratziska, so...
Date: 2010-12-31 07:01 am (UTC)I don't think I'd have forgotten something you remember.. I won't ever forget what Father said.
[Personally, I never really liked the way English made him say "Dad" :|a In the Japanese.. he was always referring to Gregory as otou-san which would have suited Miles better if it translated to "Father".. ah, well.
I will never understand why they made Edgeworth say "my old man" at one point in that case though.][Tinyworth is always in need of a hug. ;-; /what is logic
Aah... I don't even go on comms anymore since I think I made them cough up all their Tinyworth icons that would work... =w= ;; ]
I kinda want one of those but maybe I should start conserving space...
Date: 2011-01-01 11:18 am (UTC)[
I DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT EITHER REALLYAnd I was also kinda derailed when he referred to Gregory as "dad".Logic is a kind of cereal - and this is my Bigworth muse giving me a well-earned glare.
OH AND HAPPY NEW YEAR =D]
....well, if you ever feel like it feel free to. |D /has made a whole bunch
Date: 2011-01-01 11:24 am (UTC)[
IT'S ONE OF MY UNSOLVED MYSTERIESEdgeworth's vocabulary really just isn't the "dad" kind, y'know? ;;Logic is for cereal srs bznz /but Bigworth muses glare all the time.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU TOO BB :D]
...sob LOL THANKS
Date: 2011-01-01 11:38 am (UTC)...
Is there anything else...you wish to know about me?
[INORITE. So I'm sticking to "Father". FOREVERRRRRR. Phoenix and Larry might call their dads "Dad" but not Edgey-boy.
ACTUALLY THEY DO especially when their muns procrastinate and then torture them.>_>
/dumps confetti all over this thread...PINK CONFETTI.]
IT IS MY PLEASURE, BB
Date: 2011-01-01 11:47 am (UTC)But there were a few things he wanted to know.]
.....Why cravats?
[FATHER FOREVER I AGREE *A*
B-but they're so fun to do that to... >____> ;;
/JUMPS MAGENTA CONFETTI :DDD ]
THE ICON WITH BIGWORTH AND LITTLEWORTH I promise to credit youuuu
Date: 2011-01-02 03:34 pm (UTC)And now I'm going to summon the almighty powers of HEADCANON! Sobbbbb.]
von Karma [No more "sir" or "Mr. von Karma" here anymore...like that time in 1-4 when he went VON KARMA IT WAS YOUUUUU] was also...partial to the cravat. It was a habit I picked up while I lived with him.
In time, I too became...rather fond of wearing them.
[My Larry headcanon (yes I play Larry too XD) says that he's the dad type. He'd also be more inclined to say OLD MAN.
...actually. I have plans to somehow force Bigworth into the big Death City party. XDDDDDD]
A-ALL RIGHT. ;;
Date: 2011-01-02 04:15 pm (UTC)The child is currently staring at the cravat with a look of.... "I don't get it" ]
....I don't even--
[That makes sense. xD I think Phoenix and Larry are definitely more suited for the dad/old man type. :>
.....Mia might just loiter around. |D ;; ]
I will take it and it will give me fluffy happy dreams forever.
Date: 2011-01-03 04:41 am (UTC)Now have a rather clueless expression from your older self.]
...I-is something the matter?
[Guys might pull you onto the dance floor, Mia~]
Yes. ;-;
Date: 2011-01-03 04:48 am (UTC)I... don't know. it looks kind of weird....
[THEY SHOULD STOP THIS SRS TALK AND GO HAVE SOME FUN BONDING TIMES? /go buy him a cravat bigworth]
[for her boobs? 8D]
I CAN SLEEP BETTER AT NIGHT - wat
Date: 2011-01-04 07:58 am (UTC)I-it's...a fashion statement.
[I APPROVE. I've been waiting for the fun bonding times. =3 OH HE WILL. If you buy him a new bow tie, Littleworth.]
T-that picture makes me the happiest ever ;;
Date: 2011-01-04 08:03 am (UTC)Well, if that's a fashion statement, I don't want to know what century you learned it from. [Reaching out and grabbing your hand Bigworth (isn't this kind of awkward) and starting to pull you!]
Come on-- remember? That one bowtie Father bought us when we turned eight... let's see if we can find something similar.
[Does he look happy? WHY YES HE DOES omg someone he can talk happy memories about his father with fhsajf]
Re: T-that picture makes me the happiest ever ;;
Date: 2011-01-04 08:23 am (UTC)I - [Yes, it's awkward, but he'll let you pull him along since, well, he can't turn down a request from himself, right? And he'll take a short trip down memory lane...skirting the not-so-nice memories of his childhood, of course...]
Yes...I recall that it was in our favorite shade of blue.
[SUCH A HAPPY LITTLE BOY and the happiness is slowly creeping onto Bigworth as well. That sounded...wrong.]
\o\
Date: 2011-01-04 08:29 am (UTC)...It was the blue that he always wore on his tie. [And he's glad you remember, Bigworth. He almost (actually, he does) grasps your hand tighter and begins to walk more enthusiastically. Awkward about being with his older self? Not really, not anymore!
To him, being used to these time paradoxes now - he'd taken it in stride since the beginning anyway - meeting this older self was... kind of like finding a long lost older brother. He's not going to think about the strangeness of the situation. He just smiles.]
Yaaaaay we're getting to the happy part~
Date: 2011-01-04 09:08 am (UTC)Exactly. And we wore that bow tie as soon as we took it out of the box. [Don't worry, he'll keep up just fine. All those years of walking up and down stairs instead of taking the elevator paid off. This is all getting less and less awkward.
Now have Bigworth returning your smile. It's not a smirk, it's just a smile.]
This is making me happy too ;-; \o\
Date: 2011-01-04 09:17 am (UTC)I don't remember taking it off for a week until Mother told us to wash it... [And he still has it, tucked away in his bag for safe-keeping. It was his lucky charm by now, along with a key to his father's old office that he'd snuck with him before they moved.
And when he sees Bigworth smile - wow, so his mother was right, he did take after his father a lot in appearance - he feels slightly nostalgic. He'd never really thought he'd see his father's smile like this again - especially not on his own face.
And by god, does he look so happy to see that smile.]
WHY IS THIS SO CUTE ON SO MANY LEVELS SLFJASLDF
Date: 2011-01-04 10:27 am (UTC)Yes, some of our classmates noticed that we wore the exact same bow tie everyday for that week. [Bigworth saved it too~ He has contemplated...buying an adult-sized version to wear to special occasions. Sure, he WAS partial to the cravat now, but now this conversation is making him miss those bow ties.
OH and he shares the nostalgia, really.]
BECAUSE IT IS FHSLKDJFH /c-can we keep this thread up forever ;A;
Date: 2011-01-04 10:34 am (UTC)....-- and that red tie. Larry almost choked me with it, though, so I didn't wear it as often...
[It was somehow comforting to have someone who remembered what was important to him, memories he value more than anything. He looks up at Bigworth curiously, eying the cravat.]
...How do you put that on, by the way..?
OF COURSE. FOR ALL THE CUTE.
Date: 2011-01-05 01:03 pm (UTC)Larry certainly didn't mean it, but he didn't consider the consequences of his little "prank" either.
[Usually Bigworth didn't talk much about his childhood, but this was different; it was almost like talking to himself, and at the same time, not quite. It was...nice, reminiscing about the better parts of his past. DL-6 would always be there, it had happened, but...it was such a huge change, discussing these lighthearted memories. Huge in a good way.
...oh.]
This? It's actually quite simple. [He stops in his tracks, and unravels his cravat. Ta-da, a long piece of white cloth that will return to being ruffles in only a few moments as he ties it up again with swift, practiced movements. Okay, not so swift for Littleworth's viewing benefit.]
\O\
Date: 2011-01-05 03:13 pm (UTC)[And he watches Bigworth puts on the cravat. In a way, he's intrigued. It was such a fancy wear... but at the same time it was, as he'd said earlier, kind of weird.]
It looks complicated..
I still want to pinch Littleworth's cheeks, but now I also want to pinch Bigworth's.
Date: 2011-01-06 12:55 pm (UTC)[Hmmm, was his cravat okay? Yup, it's okay. Perfect.]
It isn't as intricate as it seems. [Pause.] Although I admit that I've had years of practice. [More years than YOU have, Tinyworth.]
(no subject)
Date: 2011-01-07 01:54 am (UTC)[He's just going to shake his head, a little amused.]
I bet you've had to have years of practice not to dribble tea onto it, as well.
1/2
Date: 2011-01-07 05:38 pm (UTC)And yes, Larry has changed little over the years.
